1776 was the greatest year in history.

It’s could be your new email. Real patriots don’t hide behind @outlook, @proton or @whatever-the-corporations-gave-you.

The year we told a king to get lost.

The year freedom got an address.

No ads. No tracking. No apologies.

Real ones don’t use @gah•mail.com in “the future”

1776 is a daily reminder that you’re cut from the same cloth as the good guys.

One humble ask, one favor, patriot to patriot…

  1. Don’t squat on the legends.

Leave GeorgeWashington@1776.cloud, Revere@1776.cloud, LibertyBell@1776.cloud, etc. for the kid in 2076 who actually deserves to flex them.

Hoarding glory you’ll never use is the fastest way to kill the vibe for the next generation.

Keep it real. Keep it American. Pass the torch my brotha…

Common questions, straight answers.

  1. Do I need to be a DNS wizard?
    • No. Click → type username → done. Takes 20 seconds.
  2. Is this a full Gmail replacement with 50 GB storage?
    • No. It’s a clean, ad-free cPanel inbox. Perfect for a patriotic alias, or light personal use. If you live in your inbox 24/7, keep your main account and just forward the 1776 one.
  3. Will Google/FBI/commies read my mail?
    • Zero scanning, zero ads, zero data harvesting. Just old-school email powered by cPanel. Later, everything could be optimized.
  4. Can I lose this address later?
    • Yes. If you impersonate government agencies, mass-spamming or run scams. Play nice and it’s yours forever.
  5. Sending limits?
    • Yes, sane ones. If you’re a normal human, you’ll never notice.
  6. Still have questions?

From the late 90s to the early 2000s, a free Hotmail, Outlook, Excite, or AIM inbox gave you a 100 megs, capped you at ~250 emails a day, and restricted attachments over 2 MB. Believe it or not, massive teams of humans were paid full-time just to keep that glorified shoebox running!! 😄

How does it all work?

Check it out, it’s pretty simple and looks something like this:

But Why?

I have a story to tell; but do you even care?

Well sort of. Mostly. I actually purchased the domain a few years back and used it for this, that or the other thing. I knew I was gonna love the domain, I knew I wanted to use it, but never quite settled on something.

One Tuesday afternoon, my phone rang. It was Earl, my nephew, calling long distance. “Hey, Earl,” I answered, “what’s up?”

Just so happens, my big bro’s kid loves playing Batman. Me… not much of a gamer, but he needed to regain access to his Twitch account so he could log back in and do a heavy gaming session on a Tuesday after school. This guy is only, what… 11 or maybe 12? This all happened a week after his birthday, so I had more time to give 😏.

The kid has no idea what his password is for his current account, and he doesn’t even really know his email either; when I asked, he said it was a 5-letter @gmail address, which seems unlikely. Pretty sure they force letters and numbers if it’s not a ridiculously long name. Apparently his @outlook.com is the same exact email, but he doesn’t remember that password either because it’s saved in his old laptop’s browser password manager… and that computer is in a plastic bin in somebody’s garage or basement. 😅

As I hung up the phone, I realized that sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places. And with that, I decided to finally put my domain to good use. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it now.

Alright, it’s bedtime. I’ll catch you guys later… best of health. ~ Matt G.

TLDR:

This guy needs an email and later that night, after I talked with him for 50 minutes and 24 seconds, I started punching away on the keyboard and came up with a production ready script that worked with this… that… and the other thing. 😃 Some more tweaks and a few dozen jams later we’ve got what I think, is a real nice opportunity here.

  1. Re-create my childhood free @excite.com and @aim email days
  2. Quick rapid email registration
  3. HOPEFULLY, not too much abuse
  4. A positive thing to offer growing young men and young ladies
  5. A neat experiment.

Some more thoughts:

  • I want people to have a cool email
  • I want to spread USA influence
  • I want to increase my lucky surface
  • I want. I want. I want.
  • This is something I would want, if I was 12 years old…
Why choose Vondelphia?
